christie, cuomo, and bloomberg. want to praise them for the extraordinary work they have done. sadly we are getting more experience with these big- impact storms along the east coast, in the preparation shows. for it not for the outstanding work of day in their teens, we could have seen more deaths and property damage. they have done extraordinary work, working around the clock. coordination between state and local governments has been outstanding. obviously we are now moving into the recovery phase and a lot of the most severely-affected areas. new jersey, new york have been pounded by this storm. connecticut has taken a big hit. because of the sum -- because of some of the work done ahead of time, we have been able to get over 1000 officials in place. we have been able to get supplies, food, medicine, water and emergency generators to ensure hospitals and law enforcement offices are able to stay up and running as their of their responding. we will continue to push as hard as we can to make sure power is up throughout the region, and obviously this is mostly a local responsibi
